Kay Beer Distributing was founded in 1970 by Thomas A. Kolocheski and Donna Kolocheski. The Kolocheski family purchased Jahnke Beverage, a Hamm’s and Stroh’s Distributor located in Green Bay. In 1977, the company built its first building in De Pere to be more centrally located in the market. Kay was awarded Coors Family of Brands in 1984, followed by Constellation Brands in 1988. Over the next 10 years, Kay’s growth expanded with Diageo Brands, Mark Anthony Brands, New Glarus and established a non-alcoholic division. The company’s dedication to quality and strong partnerships was recognized with the Molson Coors Presidents Award in 2009 and the Golden Bar Award in 2021, further solidifying their reputation in the industry.
